Illya Abegg
Co-founder & CEO
Raised on fresh vegetables from the garden, Illya started in marketing before following his passion for food. In 2017 he launched a fresh-juice business, then a health café in Geneva.
Valéry Guichon
Co-founder & CFO
The son of a chef, Valéry grew up around good food. After starting his career in finance, he brought his interest in healthy eating and his business experience to a new shared venture.
Chef Anthony Strebler
Head chef
Trained in Béziers, Chef Anthony Strebler brings around twenty years of restaurant, hotel and catering experience. Formerly head chef at La Belotte and Le Reposoir, he also worked at the Marriott and Warwick hotels in Geneva. He now leads the merciChef kitchen.
Our story & values
Illya and Valéry met while studying in Lausanne. In 2020, they launched the company under the PowerMeals name with a simple ambition: make good, balanced food easier to enjoy across Switzerland. The brand became merciChef in early 2026, keeping the same ambition and founding values.

Different appetites, dietary choices and daily rhythms deserve real choice. Our formats and changing recipes reflect that.
Use resources with care
Advance orders help us plan ingredients and production more closely, reducing avoidable waste. Our trays contain 80% recycled material, and postal delivery packaging can be returned following the supplied instructions.
